About Me
To Walk Where They Walked - The History of the Rideout Family of Dorchester, Mass.
My name is Linda, and I was born in Dorchester, MA. My father was also born there, although we have lived in a couple of other places since I was younger.
I have been researching my family tree for about 15 years, sometimes more seriously than others, and sometimes with a long lapse where I didn't do any research.
I wanted to make this website to be able to share that research with my immediate family, as well as with my aunts and uncles, and my many cousins that also descended from the Dorchester Rideouts. I believe that studying our family history is important, but most importantly, that our family records are well cared for, respected, and made available to future generations.
I would like to take a minute to say thank you to our cousin Priscilla, in California. She has been my mentor and an invaluable shoulder during my research, and has been non-faltering in her organized approach to genealogical research. Without her, much of this information would not have been possible. I can only hope that one day, I will be able to help her as much as she has helped me.
Thank you cousin!

Another site that I have recently started up is geared to Penny Auctions, called Penny Auction WatchDogs (pennyauctionwatchdogs). If you don't know what a penny auction is, it's a great way to win high-end electronic items, as well as any other imaginable type of item, or even gift cards to your favorite restaurants, for PENNIES on the dollar. There is some risk to it, but most users do come out ahead. Sometimes, WAY ahead. The best way to approach penny auctions is to do your homework!
For this reason, I started Penny Auction WatchDogs - a community where you can interact with other bidders and site owners, and get information about who can be trusted, and who can't. Be sure to drop by my site to learn more, click the image to go to www.PennyAuctionWatchDogs.com:
